Worship Plan for Sunday, September 27
This Sunday we'll meet for Church Outdoors at 9:30am at the home of Randy & Liza Peltola. The Peltolas' address is 53 Spring Branch Lane, Waynesboro. We'll be worshiping in their front yard, so please feel free to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. You're also invited to bring your own picnic lunch and stay after the service for some additional fellowship time. Our service will be streamed exclusively on Facebook this Sunday. You can access lyrics for worship here.

Grassroots Heroes International - Photo Update
Greenmonte supports Grassroots Heroes International, an organization that seeks to empower "grassroots heroes" - people who are working to improve the communities in which they live. In this latest brief update you can see some pictures of food and blankets that have been distributed to those who need them in South Africa.

Youth Group in October
Greenmonte Youth will be getting together twice in October! Show up and invite lots of friends! Both events will be fantastic. We'll meet up right after church on October 4 and October 18. October 4 will be a game day at Stuarts Draft Middle School. We'll meet up at the tennis courts for a game I made up called Big Ball. It's kind of like ping pong but you are the paddles and we use the big rubber playground balls. It's a ton of fun and you'll love it or love laughing at others. To quote Pride and Prejudice, “For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in our turn?” Come laugh it up! On October 18 we'll have a fall party! More details to come on that when we get closer to the date.

Encouraging Parents E-Class: Starting October 5
Rod and Renee Martin will be facilitating a 10-week parenting class to encourage and support parents. The class will be held on Monday evenings from 8-9:30 on Zoom (beginning October 5th). Participants will use the Word to guide and encourage one another, as well as the book Grace Based Parenting: Set Your Family Free by Tim Kimmel as a resource. The prominent principle of the book is to raise children that leave your home with a secure love, a significant purpose, and a strong hope. All of these come directly from the heart of Jesus. To sign up, contact Renee Martin at 6rmartinfamily@gmail.com.

New Sermon Series - The Seven "I Am" Statements of Jesus
We're excited to begin a new sermon series on the "I Am" statements of Jesus in the book of John. David Brenneman will be introducing the series this Sunday. In preparation for this Sunday, we invite you to read the gospel of John. If you don't read the whole gospel, read the first chapter. You can view our Scripture reading schedule here.
