Church Outdoors & A Picnic this Sunday at 9:30am This Sunday we'll meet once again at 9:30 am at the home of Rob and Peggy Langellotti. Their address is 277 Tadpole Lane, Greenville, VA 24440. Following our worship service outdoors, everyone has been invited to bring their own picnic lunch and stick around for some additional fellowship time. No food will be provided.
We will be worshiping in their backyard. In addition to lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on, please feel free to bring a pop-up canopy, umbrella, or whatever else you might need to protect yourself from the sun.
Our hope is to worship outdoors as long as is feasible during the ongoing pandemic. An outdoor environment can somewhat lower the risk of transmission of illness compared to indoors, while also allowing us to more easily maintain social distancing without limiting attendance. We will continue to re-evaluate our worship plans as Virginia moves through its re-opening phases, and will be providing you with weekly updates as we move forward.
**If you're using your GPS to find the Langellottis' home, make sure to enter the address after you've passed Greenmonte so that it does not bring you around to Route 11, which is a private road and locked gate.**
In The Event of Inclement Weather, Worship Will Move Indoors at 10:15am In the event of any inclement weather this Sunday, the outdoor service will be moved indoors to Greenmonte. We'll follow the weather forecast closely this week and alert you to any changes by Saturday afternoon. If we do meet indoors for worship at Greenmonte due to the weather, we request that everyone age 10 and older observe the governor's mandate and please wear a mask. The sanctuary has been appropriately prepared to seat people in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
