After rescuing Israel from Egypt, God gave laws that shaped how His people were to live. These laws were God's way of building a brand-new culture and revealing His heart for justice, mercy, and holiness.
The law did not save Israel—God had already rescued them. Instead, it showed them a new way to live as His people. The faith God calls us to is concrete; it changes how we treat others and live each day. A relationship with God leads to a new way of living.
