Exodus Part 12: God Moves In

Exodus 25–31 reveals God's desire to dwell with His people. After rescuing Israel from slavery, God gives detailed instructions for building the Tabernacle—a holy place where His presence would live among them. From the Ark of the Covenant to the priestly garments and the Sabbath, every detail points to God's holiness and His desire for relationship. God didn't just rescue His people to set them free; He rescued them so He could dwell with them. In a sense, God is moving back in—telling His people, "Build a place so I can come down and live with you." The Tabernacle foreshadows Jesus, who came to dwell among us and make God's presence available to all who trust in Him.
