Exodus Part 6 The Blood That Saves

May 24, 2026

In Exodus 12, God delivered Israel from slavery through the Passover. Each family sacrificed a spotless lamb and placed its blood on their doorposts. When God passed through Egypt in judgment, every home covered by the blood was spared.

Justice required a penalty for sin, but God provided a substitute. The lamb died so the people could live. This points us to Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God, whose blood was shed to save us.

The blood also marked a new beginning for God’s people. Through Jesus, we are given new life and freedom from sin.
