Who is the Lord?

May 17, 2026    Seth Hankee

Seth led us through Exodus 7–11, where God sent a series of plagues upon Egypt after Pharaoh repeatedly refused to let the Israelites go. Through these plagues, God demonstrated His power over Egypt, its rulers, and its false gods, while also revealing His authority and faithfulness to His people.

The central question posed was: Who has the ultimate authority in my life?

God took time bringing His people out of Egypt because His purpose was not only deliverance, but also revelation. He was raising up His people and displaying His power to the nations. Through the three cycles of plagues, God systematically dismantled Egypt and exposed the emptiness of the idols they trusted in. It was a warning that any life built on something other than God will ultimately experience de-creation and collapse.
